Good morning all,
Another one with beautiful sunshine!
Here we go,
Not long now for the start of the Scottish Six Day Trial. As always good luck to our local riders, since my early preview, the start list has been published [on 22nd March so there may be later changes] & from the Wessex Centre point of view the major change is that Scott Cameron is in. We have local interest with Becky Cook [on the TRS] Craig & Gareth Talbot at No’s 52,53 & 54, Adam Norris, Victoria Payne & Scott at No’s 116, 117 & 118, Fred Adams [with no obvious riding partners that I can see is at 179. We hope to see you all up there & encourage & support you whenever we can!
Other ‘notables’ are Dougie Lampkin on a Vertigo at 25, & I would expect him to be trying to win more than ever as a tribute to Martin. We don’t know whether Dougie has entered as an o/40 but if he has then we would expect the Adam/John Sirt battle to be for R/up spot! Fred Michaud, Thierry’s ‘minder’ in the Fantic heyday rides No 84, Joe Baker & Tom Hoper are paired toward the back of the field at 227 & 228, probable best lady, Emma Bristow & James Fry ride together at 61 & 62.
We hope that our French correspondent Chris Wrigley may be there with Janet, although we know he has a hectic schedule — “………. may get to Ssdt this year then rush back for 3 jours trial d Ardeche. Best regards to all our old friends. Just a little ps…re trials organisation in uk…believe me it is exemplary particularly with regard to promoting bums on seats compared to Spain & France.
The Results for BSSA’s last Sundays Centre Championship 3rd Reg Lewis Solo Timed Trial are here: BSSA Alan Brown 3rd Results 170416 – I see Andy Frost was best here as well as at the very tough [40% of entry retired] Corinium Enduro the week end before last. I see as well that Roger Brain was riding [missing spannering for Kurt?]
The Regs & Entry Form for BSSA’s next Time Trial, the 90minute Glenis Sinclair Memorial/Eco Angus Trophy on the 8th of May are here: BSSA GLENIS SINCLAIR T/trial Regs 080516
Plans for the West Wilts “Tanner Trudge” at Naish Hill on 12th June are well advanced so watch out for the Regs later on this week
See you soon: Frank
