“Evening Frank,    Results of yesterday’s [ie Sundays – Ed.] North Somerset Club 90 minute Time Trial, held at Frys Bottom Lane, Chelwood, are attached for the website.
In a very competitive scrambles class Andy Frost just pipped Tom Smith on the fastest time tie breaker, to take the overall premier on 9 marks. Harvey Dark took 3rd spot, just a further 2 marks adrift.
Jason Hamblin had a fairly high scoring ride by his standards, losing a total of 21 marks, but still took the trials class victory. Martin Lawford was not far behind on 24 marks, with non expert Ricky Hudson taking an excellent 3rd spot on 26.       —          Cheers, Jerry”

I mentioned last nights Board Meeting: it was reported that the decision we took at the previous  Board Meeting [to amend the  Championship Rules such that there had to be 3 starters in a Class for Championship points to be awarded] had created a lot of noise on social media. The Centre Secretary had followed these conversations & made the comment that any Riders who felt the Board had ‘got it wrong’ to raise it via their Club’s Board Delegate(s) & also invited the same Riders to attend Board Meetings in person to suggest any Rule or other Changes, that might improve the Championships for them.

Sadly neither that comment or the invitation haven’t been taken up, by any of you Riders, but the Board did consider the  viability of some of the Championship classes. You haven’t missed your chance to influence things, but it is disappointing that those who criticised haven’t, or can’t?, come forward with any better alternatives.
