Hello all, here’s some good news.
Congratulations to Jason & Amy Hamblin who announce a sister for Alfie, Willow Grace, who weighed in at 7lbs 10oz on Wednesday 6th of August at 19:00hrs. Congratulations to all concerned especially Amy as she may have to ‘go back in’ for a day or two. Jason hopes to be riding the TattooTime Time trial tomorrow, but if he doesn’t show you’ll know why!
Jan Watkins has sent across the BSSA Reg Lewis Solo & Sidecar Trial results from last Sunday 3rd August which you can find here BSSA Reg Lewis Trial Results 030814 I see glancing at the Results, the solo AB class was relatively easy, 5 riders, two on clean, Rob Hilton & Ollie Humphris, Rob Scott on 1, Jon Bees on 2 & Centre Chairman Keith Wooster on 3, so it was really close between them. Nice, also, to see Chloe Cross having a C class outing. Among the Sidecars, I’m not surprised that Jon Tuck/Matt Sparkes took the Premier Reg Lewis Award, losing just a dab, with the R/up Award the Ken Avery Trophy going to Josh/Luke Golding on 7m/l & third placed Phil Sparkes/David Tuck picked up the Graham Manning Trophy also dropping 7m/l. The 90 minute Brian Hudson Memorial Time Trial Regs & Entry Form for the 14th of September you can find here BSSA Brian Hudson TT 140914
Both can also be found on the usual ‘Page’
See you soon: Frank
ps Remember I mentioned the casualty rescued from the Reeth 3 day. According to the Swaledale Mountain Rescue website the casualty was carried down Fremington Edge. While certainly not belittling the Mountain Rescue guys at all [they do a wonderful volunteering job which many people have reason to be grateful for], my perception of being ‘carried down Fremington Edge’ is of an incredibly arduous task, whereas the casualty was carried no more than 500m, I estimate, down the gentle lower wooded slopes to the Arkle Beck level pastures.
