Don’t forget the Bath Club’s Knut Trophy Trial will decide the Centre Champion for 2010, will it be Colin again? This year has seen his most serious challenger for some time: Ben Darch. As the Club says ‘the Knut Trophy trial will be on at Dyrham Woods on Sunday 12th December and it will be run for us by Herbie and Theresa Talbot. In the last few years the Knut has regained a lot of it’s star status thanks to the marvellous courses that Herbie has been laying out, so if you’re feeling lucky and want to test yourself against some really big hills then come along and ride. There should be routes suitable for all abilities so you need not be too afraid. Just eat a good breakfast.’
& ‘Scrivs” says the Valer’s Christmas Turkey Trial extravaganza is back by popular demand for another day of silliness on the 18 December. This is a team based event catering for all abilities with the emphasis on fun at the Trial and and in the Pub afterwards. Riders are grouped into teams and those in fancy dress are credited with 10 points against their score, so get the “Blue Peter” kit out and start preparing.
The action takes place at Churchill Rocks, signposted on the A38, at Churchill south of Bristol. Start time 1200 and enter on the day. Prize giving and a raffle will take place immediately afterwards at a nearby local Inn, which will be confirmed on the day, but if the usual venue, is only a couple of miles away . The entry fee also includes sausage and chips at the Pub, so it’s a must to be there. – your Editor
